Tweets from kids trying to use Wikipedia for their homework—and failing. SOPA!
Everyone look at this.
I’m positive that some savvy teachers scheduled research-heavy assignments specifically because they knew kids were going to be relying on Wikipedia the night before. Were I in high school, I would have developed a begrudging respect for these teachers after figuring out a way around their clever scheme.
Then learned no lasting lessons.
Kids are freaking out about homework without Wikipedia.
What I love about it is that it says right there on the “why” page (where they answer these dipshits’ questions) that you can just disable javascript in your browser to get around the blackout. They put that in there for people who still needed to use the site.
